The Mongoose Jetters Model 184HD is one of Sewer Equipment’s best selling units. Just ask David Sierra, owner of El Plomero Latino (The Latin Plumber) in Orlando, Florida. When he opened the cleanout on a 6-inch-diameter sewer line that was clogged solid with grease, he was glad to have his Mongoose 184HD trailer jetter. Due to three adjacent restaurants without grease traps, the sewer line was clogged for about 1,000 feet, so much so that the grease overflowed out of the cleanout. “There was so much grease that we couldn’t even inspect the line before cleaning it. We had to go straight to jetting it,” Sierra said.
Sierra’s jetter is equipped with a 70 hp Cat diesel engine, a 300-gallon water tank and 500 feet of 1/2-inch-diameter hose attached to another 175 feet of 3/8-inch-diameter hose, and it proved its worth. After about 6 hours, the job was done. Sierra claims that the machine paid for itself within the first 4 1/2 years. “When we use this jetter, it often leads to more business. The jetter alone is a great investment, and will serve anyone in the plumbing industry well. But at Sewer Equipment, we also offer custom features and options to make your equipment work best for you. First, our Mongoose jetters can be ordered with an additional hot water boiler. Having hot water in your jetter can be useful in cold weather operations because it can increase the cleaning effectiveness in projects like cleaning grease from pipes or clearing ice-clogged pipes. The hot water boiler can be added to all units, both open and enclosed trucks, and all trailers.
Second, we offer the Trident Wireless Remote Control System. It gives the operator working inside of a building control at their fingertips to control the jetter without needing two-way radio communication with another operator outside. Functions include Water On/Off, Throttle Up/Down, Hose Reel Pay In/Pay Out, and Emergency Engine Stop.
