Some of our competitors may tell you that we are new to the industry. They mean we can’t possibly know how to build a quality truck. But we have actually been manufacturing sewer cleaning equipment since 1941. With experience like that, it’s safe to say we know jet vac trucks. In fact, Sewer Equipment’s Model 900 ECO Combination Sewer Cleaner Truck is our best innovation yet, unequaled in the combo jet vac truck industry. This unit is simple, safe, and reliable:
With a no engagement process in the cab and only four primary switches at the operator’s station, no other truck compares in simplicity. Operators can use the work mode, blower, water, and throttle switches to get the job done.
Our patented “Hydro Drive” powertrain system allows the truck to operate in neutral when in work mode. This is the only single-engine truck on the market to do so. Because the unit does not have a transfer case, the operator can rest assured that the truck will not be dangerous to the operator while in neutral. An additional safety feature is the lack of digital screens. Screens often force operators to take their eyes off their surroundings while operating, mainly when dealing with the sun’s glare on the screen.
The model 900 Combination Sewer Cleaner Truck allows recirculation at any speed, so it can recirculate as the truck is driving down the highway. The exclusive duraprolene copolymer water tanks are fully baffled, 100% immune to corrosion, and UV-stabilized.

Sewer Equipment is the only manufacturer to offer an automatic levelwind with hydraulic up/down action. This feature automatically guides the hose on the reel when retrieving, allowing the operator to keep their eyes on the manhole and surrounding traffic. The exclusive up/down action enables raising or lowering the roller head to avoid damaging the hose on the manhole casting or obstacles such as guardrails in easement situations.

Our remote is 100% sealed and waterproof, with a 250-hour run time and 1/4 mile range. It is stowed in a docking/charger in the cab, so the remote will never be without a fully charged battery. The emergency stop button will immediately stop the chassis engine. It will also stop all functions while opening the vacuum relief valve for the utmost safety. Turning the remote on at the beginning of the shift requires depressing a sequence of buttons, including the E-stop. If the E-stop button is not functioning, the operator must use the main operating station until the remote issue is resolved. If an operator has lost a remote, you will be happy to know that an audible alarm will sound in the cab if the parking brake is released and the remote is not in the docking station in the cab.
The 900-ECO is the only combination truck on the market offering triplex and single-piston pump options.
Those used to the excessive pulsation of traditional single-piston pumps will be pleased to know that the single-piston pump runs smoothly. It runs smoothly even below 1000PSI when the accumulator is enabled. Faced with a blockage or other obstacle, deactivating the accumulator by shifting one manual ball valve will introduce the pulsation typical of other single-piston pumps.

All water valves are centrally located at the mid-ship control station. Shift the valve into the upward position for the circuit that you wish to use. Jet hose, wash down, hydro excavation, tank wash, and lateral circuit valves are all clearly labeled and in the same location—no searching for the appropriate valve, and no “mystery valves” without labels on the 900-ECO.

While most booms on the market remain parallel to the ground at the lowest, the 900-ECO boom pivots 20 degrees below horizontal. This allows the operator to vacuum 10′ below grade when working on the side of the truck with only one 6′ aluminum vacuum tube attached. This feature comes with no additional moving parts versus a traditional boom. It is a great convenience when hydro-excavating and cleaning lift stations. This capability is also a great safety feature in the event of a clog in the steel elbow. The operator can reach it without the need for a ladder.

Our 800 GPM trash pump turns the 900-ECO into a portable bypass pump. With the flip of a switch, liquids and slurries can be discharged off the back of the truck without shutting down the vacuum function. This allows for live water main repairs and bypassing of surcharged manholes. Creating up to 110′ of head pressure, the fluid can even be pumped into many force mains. Thus allowing the bypassing of disabled lift stations caused by pump failures or power outages.

Cleanup is simple and safe with an 80GPM debris tank flush that directs water at the entire rear door. In most instances, the operator never needs to manually rinse the tank and door seal with the washdown gun. This helps to keep them away from a potential pinch point.
